Access Your Life visit the Caretech UK Ltd Showroom. The importance of ‘real people’ in content creation.

We recently welcomed Access Your Life to the new Caretech UK Ltd showroom. They joined us to shoot some promotional content and video reviews of our product range, which we look forward to sharing with you soon. However, their visit also stressed to us the importance of having a diverse range of ‘real people’ in content creation to give a true representation of product suitability.

Many people require independent living aids, coming in all shapes, sizes and ages. However, we frequently see companies within the disability and independent living sector choosing to promote their brands and products with only elderly models. Although a key client type for the market, this is not the only client type that our products could be suitable for.

Lauren, the company Director, also shared with us her first experience of an event after her diagnosis of Ehlers-Danlos syndrome. Seeing no representation of her age group in the branding from attending companies left her feeling upset and alone.

At Caretech UK Ltd we strive to be inclusive to all clients and show that we offer support and advice to anyone that may require our services.

Our showroom is situated in Brook Industrial Estate in Rayleigh. By the very nature of our products, we know that not everyone may be able to visit us in person – our brand new 360 virtual showroom will be unveiled very soon! This new immersive and interactive feature will allow us to be even more accessible to our clients.

Free training day for health professionals exploring equipment solutions for paediatrics in a home environment.

Join us in person or online for this free training day covering the following equipment and aspects of paediatric care:

Toileting & hygiene
Moving & handling
Posture management
Pressure care

The training will take place at our Assistive Living Centre and fully-functioning Showroom in Rayleigh, Essex. Our space can also be booked for training purposes or client assessments, please enquire by calling 01268 775585.

Assistive Living Showroom Grand Opening!

During the Pandemic we have worked endlessly to create a fully functioning, adapted living showroom to feature access solutions for around the home environment for people with reduced mobility.

On Friday 15th October we were joined by local MP the RT Hon Mark Francois to open the showroom to the public.

They have opened a fully functional showroom to further increase access to the services they supply locally, to those that may need it. I am pleased to be officially opening their showroom today and glad to see that, following the pandemic, they are building back better and delivering a vital service to our local area.”

We have been working for many years as a NHSSC approved maintenance company specialising in, but not exclusive to – beds, baths, hoists, stairlift and through floor lifts. During the lockdown, and whilst staff were working from home / furloughed, we used the time to build new “Covid compliant offices”. This freed up space to put in an engineer training area with working products (Beds, Baths, overhead and mobile hoists, stairlifts and through floor lifts). This has morphed into a training assessment centre for engineers, OTs and private clients.

Caretech has been very particular when it comes to the products and suppliers we approve. All of which are chosen by our engineering team on reliability, ease of maintenance, robustness, availability of spares, OEM tech support and of course user experience. We would like to thank Invacare, Liko. Handicare, Joerns, Pollock lifts and Reval for their support both on the open day and throughout the project. Also, a special thanks to my excellent team who has put up with the dust and noise over the past months.

I hope we have provided a unique centre which can be used by local professionals for hoist training and by the local community when they need to make an informed decision with regards to home access. Caretech is an approved repairer for many OEMs that do not have resources to cover the UK with engineers. If you need product repaired, delivered, maintained or installed please make contact.
