Our contracts department carefully monitors the costs of all aspects of work undertaken. Once we have been awarded a maintenance contract and ensured that all apparatus is up to our high standard of operation (and not just fit-for-purpose), we will demonstrate that costs are consistently reduced year-on-year — resulting in real and substantial savings.
An advantage of our independence and having no ties to manufacturers or distributors is that we can purchase the most appropriate equipment for you from the most reliable and trusted manufacturers. This is not a guess. We maintain every manufacturers equipment so know what’s what when it comes to durability and reliability.
We employ only fully trained Engineers who are able to carry out repairs and maintenance to a wide range of equipment. Regular training is undertaken both in-house and with original equipment manufacturers. Our Engineers are also all DBS checked for your peace of mind.
As part of a maintenance agreement we will:
- Keep your inventory in tip top condition, carry out servicing and LOLER / PUWER at agreed intervals
- Attend breakdowns within 2 hours 24/7
- Meet agreed key performance indicators
- Reports will be supplied including inventory, condition, and location
- You will have access to your own customer portal. (We have an open information policy).

On Demand Maintenance
Most of our work is with contracted maintenance projects. However, we know that the ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach doesn’t suit everyone.
Thanks to our flexibility and the application of up-to-the-minute technology, we can work with customers that require an ‘on-demand’ bespoke service.
Coverage is provided between 08.30 and 17.00 Monday to Friday through our Customer Services Department. At all other times including weekends and bank holidays, our switchboard will direct callers to the geographical area required, which in turn puts them in direct contact with the local duty engineer.
Caretech engineers are on call 24/7 and offer a full call out cover to all contracted clients. This includes std callout charge for 4-hour same-day response for emergencies reported before midday.
We employ highly practical, trained biomedical engineers specialising in the safety, calibration and performance verification of a range of equipment including:
- Anaesthesia and physio equipment.
